For some manufacturers, it may still be a question of when their product can still be considered a dietary supplement and when it is already a drug. The Control Office, more precisely the State Institute for Drug Control, has now also expressed this opinion.


He decided, in the light of new expertise on adverse reaction, that he would no longer classify products with a recommended daily allowance of less or equal to 50 μg vitamin D (ie 2,000 IU / International Units) as medicinal products.
